Nasal Peptide Bench
Selank and Adamax, with Semax as the comparison point
Overview
the nasal neuropeptides: Selank on the calm side, Adamax as the Semax analogue people ask about, and Semax itself as the comparison point. a large Russian literature that has never been replicated outside Russia.

all three are research use only. BHG Labs carries Selank and Adamax with a third-party COA on every lot. the Adamax listing is a finished 15 mL metered spray; the Selank listing shows both 'atomized solution' and 'lyophilized vial', so read the listing before you order. nothing here is a spray schedule. a solution you mix at home has no sterility test behind it, and whether it is preserved depends on what you mixed it with.
The bench: 3 compounds
roles and evidence, not amounts. this page does not publish doses or schedules for research compounds.
1Selank
read the guidethe calm-side peptide. modulates GABA-related gene expression in the Russian work.
evidence: a small, almost entirely Russian literature. the Russian anxiety work paired it with phenazepam and reported a faster effect and fewer benzodiazepine side effects than phenazepam alone. 'non addictive, no withdrawal' is a vendor chip, not a trial result.
watch for: no long-term human safety data. reported: drowsiness, an occasional flat feeling, nasal irritation.
2Adamax
read the guidesold as an adamantane-modified Semax analogue; some vendors add an N-acetyl group. the honest position: no chemistry database or patent defines a molecule under this name, vendor structures disagree with each other, and the BHG Labs listing gives a formula but no sequence.
evidence: zero papers under the name. every claim you see for it is borrowed from Semax.
watch for: ask for the sequence and molecular weight on the COA. if the certificate cannot tell you what the molecule is, the vial cannot either.
3Semax
read the guidethe comparison point. an ACTH(4-10) analogue with a 110-patient stroke study and prescription status in Russia.
evidence: no independent non-Russian replication. the basal forebrain site it binds (Kd 2.4 nM) is still unidentified.
watch for: the Russian work reports it as well tolerated, and no one outside Russia has checked.

Why these together
Selank and Semax come out of the same Russian design program and share the same Pro-Gly-Pro tail, but they are built on different parent peptides (tuftsin for Selank, ACTH 4-10 for Semax) and they read differently: Selank leans calm, Semax leans sharp. the reports mostly cover one or the other, not both. Adamax is sold as the Semax stand-in, which only holds if the vial contains what the label says.
Overlap
Semax raises BDNF in the Russian rodent work. the Selank side of that is thinner. nobody has tested the two together. Adamax is sold as a Semax analogue, so putting it next to Semax is a bet that they overlap, and you cannot check that without a sequence on the COA.
Conflicts
Selank with a benzodiazepine: one Russian trial (phenazepam, 70 patients) reported a faster anxiolytic effect and fewer benzodiazepine side effects, sedation included. that is one study from one group, so treat the pairing as untested, not as safe. Semax MAOI and seizure cautions: vendor lore, unverified, treat with care anyway. nasal irritation is the common complaint with any of them.
What the evidence actually is
Selank: three small Russian trials, all from the same Moscow group, plus rodent data. Semax: one 110-patient stroke study plus a large Russian literature. Adamax: none under its own name.
What people report
reports: a calmer baseline on Selank, a sharper feel on Semax days. no trial has measured either.
Who It's For

What to Track
anxiety on a fixed scale, sleep, nasal irritation, focus blocks
