Peptide Vendor Scorecard
Every research compound vendor we track, scored on a transparent 0-100 scale. Five weighted criteria, CSV-exportable, methodology published. No pay-to-rank, no affiliate kickbacks moving scores. Use this as the buyer-side risk-assessment framework Smartsheet templates can't be — peptide-specific, updated continuously, sourced from data the vendors themselves can audit.

Risk Assessment Framework for Peptide Buyers
Five risk categories every buyer should evaluate before paying any vendor — independent of trust score. Walk this top-to-bottom. If any single category fails, walk away regardless of price.
Identity & Testing
Critical riskRed flag: No COA, only self-issued tests, or COAs with no batch number / lot ID
Check: Look for ISO-17025 third-party lab (Vanguard, Janoshik, Anresco, RIANI). Match lot/batch number on COA to the product page or vial label. If no lot, no buy.
Payment Channel
High riskRed flag: Crypto-only with no card option, untraceable wires, or 'message us for payment instructions'
Check: At least one chargeback-reversible channel (Visa/MC, PayPal Goods&Services) means you have recourse if the vial never ships or arrives wrong.
Shipping & Customs
High riskRed flag: Vague shipping windows ("7-21 days"), no tracking, or no domestic origin listed
Check: US-domestic USPS Priority is the gold standard for under-2-day, trackable, customs-free delivery. International with declared content gets seized regularly.
Social Proof Authenticity
Medium riskRed flag: Reviews only on their own site, all 5-star with no detail, or sub-100 lifetime reviews on a vendor claiming to be 'industry-leading'
Check: Cross-reference on r/Peptides, Trustpilot (not bought), and BHG community reviews. Authentic reviewers mention specific lots, dose protocols, and side effects.
Price Anomaly
Medium riskRed flag: Prices >40% below market median for the same compound at the same vial size, especially on premium peptides (retatrutide, BPC-157, tirzepatide)
Check: Cheap can mean efficient logistics — or it can mean diluted product. Pair price check with COA verification before assuming the low number is legitimate. See live $/mg on each compound page at /compound/<slug>.
Our Scoring Methodology
Each vendor is evaluated against five criteria weighted by importance. COA verification carries the highest weight (30%) because third-party testing is the strongest indicator of product quality. Community reviews (20%) and payment transparency (20%) are weighted equally, while shipping coverage and listing activity each contribute 15%. Scores update in real-time as new data comes in.
No vendor can pay to improve their Trust Score. The full 0–100 rubric — explicit pass thresholds, data sources, red flags, and what we deliberately don't score — is published at /vendors/methodology.
