How BodyHackGuide Earns Money

We believe in full transparency. BodyHackGuide is a free platform — we don't charge users for access to our comparison tools, calculators, guides, or educational content. Here's exactly how we sustain the project:

1. Affiliate Links to Vendors

When you click a "Buy" button on a compound listing or vendor page and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from that vendor. This is our primary revenue source.

• Commissions are paid by the vendor — you never pay extra
• Affiliate links are clearly marked with external link icons
• We list all vendors that meet our quality standards, not just those with affiliate programs
• Vendors cannot pay to inflate their ratings or trust scores

2. Vendor Display Priority

While our default sort order in comparison tables is by price (lowest first), we do use a "priority" system that may influence the default display order in certain views like the vendor directory.

However:

• Users can always re-sort by price, price per mg, or vendor name
• Our Trust Score system is calculated independently based on objective criteria (COA verification, payment transparency, community reviews, shipping coverage, and active listings)
• No vendor can pay to improve their Trust Score

3. Coupon Codes & Deals

We display coupon codes and deals from vendors on our Deals page and in comparison tables. Some of these are affiliate-tracked coupon codes, meaning we may earn a commission when they are used. These codes typically also provide a discount to you.

4. Bloodwork Partner Referrals

We partner with bloodwork service providers (such as Anabolic Insights) and may earn a referral fee when users order lab work through our links. We only partner with services we believe provide legitimate value to the research community. Discount codes we share (e.g., "CHONCH") also benefit you with a lower price.

5. Coaching Services

Our 1-on-1 coaching is a paid service where users can book personalized consultations. Revenue from coaching goes directly to supporting the platform and the coaches involved. Coaching is educational in nature and does not constitute medical advice.

What We Don't Do

To maintain trust, here's what we will never do:

• Sell your data — we don't sell, trade, or rent personal information (see our Privacy Policy)
• Add hidden markups — prices shown are the actual vendor prices
• Accept pay-for-play reviews — community ratings are from real users
• Gate essential tools — all calculators, comparisons, and guides are free forever
• Promote unsafe vendors — we evaluate vendors on objective criteria and remove those that don't meet standards
• Run third-party ads — no banner ads, pop-up ads, or ad-tracking scripts

Our Commitment

BodyHackGuide was built by researchers, for researchers. Our goal is to be the most transparent and useful resource in this space. Affiliate revenue lets us keep everything free while continuing to build better tools and content for the community.
