The 8 Best Peptide Companies for Research: 2026 Purity & Price Comparison

    BioChonch, Founder & Lead Researcher - September 2026 - Fact-checked

Research and educational use only, not medical advice. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, inject, or consume anything. Peptides sold by these companies are for laboratory research and are not approved for human use.

Key takeaway: the best place to buy peptides online is the vendor that can prove what's in the vial — a batch-specific, third-party Certificate of Analysis (COA) — at a price-per-mg you can actually verify. After comparing all eight active peptide companies in our tracker on COA transparency, live tracked prices across 19 compounds, shipping, payments and reputation, ResearchChemHQ and Optimum Formula lead on COA rigor, Ion Peptide leads on price-per-mg across GLP-1s and most nootropic peptides, BioMyst Labs quietly wins several bulk categories, and BHG Labs is the strongest domestic all-rounder.

Asking "where should I buy peptides?" gets you a wall of affiliate spam. This page tries to be the opposite: every price below is pulled from our own price tracker and every COA claim is checkable.

    How we evaluated

We score vendors with a published, 0–100 rubric (full methodology here) built on six criteria:

    1. COA verification (heaviest weight) — does the vendor publish third-party Certificates of Analysis, and are the purity results independently verified?
    2. Reputation — community standing and long-term reliability.
    3. Payment options — card support matters; crypto-only adds friction and risk.
    4. Shipping coverage and speed — domestic fulfillment, international reach.
    5. Catalog breadth — can one supplier actually cover a research program?
    6. Competitive price-per-mg — on compounds where at least two tracked vendors compete, is this vendor at or below the median? (We compare like-for-like: same compound, same form.)

Full live scores for every vendor are on the vendor trust scorecard; the browsable directory with per-vendor detail is here.

What our COA audit actually shows

We only claim verification where we hold audit records. Right now that's two vendors:

Vendor COA records audited Independently verified Named lab
    ResearchChemHQ 6 6 (100%) Vanguard — ISO-certified, Olympia, WA
    Optimum Formula 6 4 (67%) Third-party panel per batch

Every other vendor on this list states third-party testing but has no entries in our verification file yet. That is not an accusation — it means we haven't confirmed it ourselves, and you should ask for the batch COA before ordering. We add vendors to the audit as records come in.

    1. ResearchChemHQ — best for COA verification and bulk orders

Operating since 2023, ResearchChemHQ supplies high-purity research peptides to independent researchers, academic institutions, and qualified laboratories. Every batch ships with a COA backed by third-party verification through Vanguard, an ISO-certified analytical lab in Olympia, WA. All six of their tracked COA records verified clean — the strongest verification record we hold.

    • Catalog: peptides, SARMs, nootropics (member account required to browse)
    • Shipping: USPS Priority and Priority Express domestically; international bulk and wholesale available
    • Bulk pricing: buy 5 → 20% off, buy 10 → 40% off — genuinely useful for lab-scale purchases
    • Standouts in our tracker: BPC-157 capsules 500 mg at $0.16/mg (cheapest BPC form we track by an order of magnitude), GHK-Cu 50 mg $34.99, Semax 10 mg $34.99, IGF-1 LR3 1 mg $49.99
    • Payments: Card, Crypto — Coupon: REDDIT

Choose them if COA provenance is your top priority and you buy in volume.

    2. BHG Labs — best domestic all-rounder

BHG Labs offers lyophilized peptides, capsule research compounds, and atomized (nasal) solutions. Every vial is lot-numbered and linked to a third-party COA — scan the lot or search the batch ID to pull identity and purity for that exact batch, not a generic PDF. US fulfillment, discreet packaging, research use only.

We keep it on this list for its batch-searchable COA system, which is real and worth copying. It is not the price pick: in the tables below its retatrutide ties for the highest cost per mg and its NAD+ is the priciest of the three listed. Where BHG Labs and another vendor stock the same product in the same form, our tracker lists only BHG Labs, which is another reason to check the second source yourself before ordering.

    • Catalog highlights: NAD+ 500 mg ($64), GHK-Cu 50 mg ($49.99), glutathione 600 mg ($41), BH-Morelin 10 mg ($84.99), BHG-3 10 mg ($120), SS-31 10 mg ($72), plus Selank and Semax research atomizers
    • Shipping: US — Payments: Card, Crypto

    3. Optimum Formula — best for every-batch testing discipline

Optimum Formula's differentiator is scope of testing: purity, sterility, heavy metals, and endotoxins on every batch shipped — not spot checks. That sterility/endotoxin coverage is rarer than it should be in this market and is why they rank highest on our reputation-weighted rating (4.9). A members-only portal requires registration, which adds friction but reflects a documentation-first operation.

    • Catalog: peptides and GLP-1 agonists under coded names (Pep-1S = semaglutide, Pep-2T = tirzepatide, Pep-3R = retatrutide)
    • Standouts: cheapest tracked BPC-157 10 mg vial at $37.99 ($3.80/mg), thymosin alpha-1 10 mg $44.99, cagrilintide 5 mg $49.99, tesamorelin 10 mg $69.99
    • Shipping: USPS Priority and Priority Express; bulk/wholesale international on request
    • Payments: Card, Crypto — Coupon: REDDIT

Choose them if you want the widest testing panel per batch, especially sterility and endotoxins.

    4. Ion Peptide — best price-per-mg, full stop

Ion Peptide carries 92 research compounds — peptides, GLP-1 agonists, buccal strips, and bioregulators — with third-party HPLC testing and 24–48 hour fulfillment. Across the 19 compounds we price-checked for this guide, Ion Peptide holds the lowest tracked price-per-mg in nine of them: tirzepatide ($2.48/mg at 60 mg), semaglutide ($3.30/mg at 30 mg), MOTS-c, Selank, Semax, NAD+, glutathione, TB-500 and ipamorelin.

The catch is vial size — those headline numbers come from their larger vials. At 10 mg, Ion is competitive but not always cheapest.

    • Shipping: US and international — Payments: Credit card, Crypto, ACH

Choose them if price-per-mg is the deciding factor and you're comfortable buying larger vials.

    5. BioMyst Labs — best bulk value in the mid-size vials

The vendor most often missing from comparison lists, and the one that keeps winning categories in our tracker. BioMyst focuses on research-grade peptides with straightforward pricing and both US and international shipping. Their sweet spot is the 20–100 mg vial, where they undercut everyone: GHK-Cu 100 mg at $49.99 ($0.50/mg), retatrutide 20 mg at $159.99 ($8.00/mg) — the cheapest retatrutide per mg we track — plus KPV 10 mg at $39.99 and tesamorelin 10 mg at $59.99.

Their 5 mg vials are priced at a flat $34.99 across most of the catalog, which is fine but not special. The value is in going bigger.

    • Shipping: US and international — Payments: Card, Crypto

Choose them if you want bulk vials of healing, longevity or GLP-1 compounds and don't need a members portal.

    6. Disguised Alpha — broadest catalog and ready-use formats

A vendor based in Los Angeles with an unusually wide catalog: lyophilized vials, ready-use research pens, capsules, aerosol kits, liquids, and transdermals, with a public COA portal. The pen and aerosol formats save reconstitution work if your research design calls for them.

They also hold two of the most extreme bulk prices in our whole tracker: high-dose 5-Amino-1MQ 1,000 mg at $99.99 ($0.10/mg) and SLU-PP-332 225 mg at $79.99 ($0.36/mg) — roughly a tenth of what small vials of the same compounds cost elsewhere.

    • Shipping: US, EU, UK — Payments: Card, Crypto, Bank transfer

    7. Limitless Biochem EU — best for European buyers

An EU-based supplier positioned around transparency and independent testing, with a catalog spanning fat-burning, muscle performance, cognition, and immune research compounds. Delivery to Slovakia and Czech Republic runs 3–7 business days; international 4–30 days. Notable tracked pricing: 5-Amino-1MQ 50 mg at $59.99 ($1.20/mg) and epithalon 10 mg at $37.45.

One caveat we'll say plainly: third-party testing is claimed, but COA availability varies by product — verify the specific batch's COA before ordering. That's our standard advice for any vendor; here it matters more.

    • Shipping: US, EU, UK, AU — Payments: Card, Crypto, Bank transfer — Coupon: BODYHACKGUIDE

    8. VANDL Labs — small vials and the widest format spread

A US supplier with peptides, capsules, nasal sprays, and topicals. VANDL's pattern in our data is the mirror of Ion's: they rarely win at large sizes but frequently hold the cheapest small vial — PT-141 10 mg at $34.99 ($3.50/mg), epithalon 10 mg at $34.99, 5-Amino-1MQ 50 mg at $44.99 ($0.90/mg), and a flat $34.99 tier across TB-500, DSIP, AOD-9604 and BPC-157 5 mg. Their 30 mg retatrutide ($279.99, $9.33/mg) and 60 mg tirzepatide ($349.99, $5.83/mg) are decent bulk options too.

    • Shipping: US — Payments: Card, Crypto, Zelle — Coupon: CHON

    IGF-1 LR3 Optimum Formula / RCHQ 1 mg $49.99 $49.99

    Four patterns worth noticing:

    1. No vendor wins everything. Ion Peptide dominates large-vial pricing; BioMyst wins mid-size bulk; VANDL wins the small vials; Disguised Alpha holds the extreme bulk outliers. "Cheapest vendor" is the wrong question — "cheapest for this compound at this size" is the right one.
    2. Bigger sizes cut cost-per-mg dramatically. Ion's 60 mg tirzepatide at $2.48/mg is less than a third of its own 10 mg price. Disguised Alpha's 1,000 mg 5-Amino-1MQ is 70× cheaper per mg than a 5 mg vial.
    3. Coded GLP-1 names are the norm. Pep-1S, ION-2T, BHG-3, GLP-Reta — several vendors list GLP-1 compounds under internal codes. Match the code to the compound before comparing prices.
    4. COA access and price are not correlated here. The most rigorous testers (ResearchChemHQ, Optimum Formula) are mid-pack or better on price. Cheap-with-no-COA is a false economy.

The purchase guide: how to actually buy

Step 1 — Pick the compound, then the vendor

Never the reverse. The tables above show why: choosing a single "best vendor" costs you money on most compounds. Start on the compound page for what you need, read the live price table there, then order from whoever is cheapest with an acceptable COA.

Step 2 — Verify the COA before you order

A COA is only as good as its chain of custody. Before buying anywhere:

    1. Ask whether the COA is batch-specific (tied to the lot number on your vial) or a generic product-level sheet. Generic sheets are nearly worthless.
    2. Check the testing lab is named and independent of the vendor. ISO 17025 accreditation is the gold standard.
    3. Confirm the test date is recent and the reported purity matches the label claim.
    4. Cross-check the compound's molecular mass and HPLC purity figures against published reference values.

Full walkthrough, including red flags on forged or recycled COAs: How to Read a Peptide COA.

Step 3 — Do the price-per-mg math yourself

Total price ÷ total mg. Always. A $149 vial can be cheaper than a $49 vial — Ion's 60 mg tirzepatide versus a 10 mg vial is exactly that case. Watch for blends: a "BPC/TB 5+5 mg" vial is 10 mg total but of two different compounds, so it isn't comparable to a 10 mg single-compound vial.

Step 4 — Check stock status and vial size before checkout

Listings go out of stock constantly in this market, and vendors quietly swap vial sizes. The size shown on our tracker is the size we last verified; confirm it on the product page before paying.

Step 5 — Apply the code and pick a payment method you can dispute

Active reader codes: REDDIT (ResearchChemHQ, Optimum Formula), BODYHACKGUIDE (Limitless Biochem), CHON (VANDL Labs). Card payments give you chargeback recourse; crypto does not. Several vendors discount for crypto — that discount is the price of giving up your recourse. Decide deliberately.

Step 6 — Budget for shipping time and customs

US-domestic vendors (ResearchChemHQ, Optimum Formula, BHG Labs, BioMyst, VANDL) typically move in 24–72 hours via USPS Priority. International adds 4–30 days and customs risk that varies by compound and destination. Ion Peptide, BioMyst, Disguised Alpha and Limitless Biochem ship outside the US; the rest don't.

Red flags that should stop the order

    • No COA available at all, or only a generic product-level sheet
    • A COA with no named lab, or a lab that's a subsidiary of the vendor
    • Prices dramatically below the ranges in the tables above
    • Crypto-only checkout with no card option
    • No lot number on the vial, so nothing to tie a COA to

    FAQ

What is the best place to buy peptides online in 2026?

The vendor with batch-specific third-party COAs at a verified price-per-mg. On our current data: ResearchChemHQ or Optimum Formula if COA rigor is the priority, Ion Peptide for large-vial price-per-mg, BioMyst Labs for mid-size bulk, and BHG Labs as a domestic all-rounder.

    Which peptide company is cheapest?

It depends entirely on the compound and vial size. Ion Peptide holds the lowest tracked price-per-mg on nine of the 19 compounds we compared; BioMyst wins GHK-Cu and retatrutide bulk; Disguised Alpha holds the cheapest 5-Amino-1MQ and SLU-PP-332 by a wide margin; VANDL usually wins the small vials.

Is it legal to buy peptides online?

Research peptides are sold for laboratory research only and are not approved for human consumption. Laws differ by country and by compound — know yours before ordering. Nothing on this site is legal or medical advice.

    How much should BPC-157 cost?

For a 10 mg vial, our tracked US vendors currently run $3.80–$5.50 per mg ($37.99–$54.99). Capsule forms are far cheaper per mg but have different bioavailability characteristics. Prices well below that range deserve suspicion about purity; well above means you're overpaying.

What's more important: price or COA?

COA, every time. An unverified $20 vial of unknown content is worse than a verified $50 one, because your entire experiment — whatever it is — depends on the vial containing what the label claims.

Why do vendors use code names like Pep-2T or BHG-3?

Several suppliers list GLP-1 agonists under internal product codes rather than compound names. Our compound pages map the codes to the actual compound so you can compare prices like-for-like.

    Do these vendors ship internationally?

Ion Peptide and BioMyst Labs ship US and international; Disguised Alpha covers US, EU, and UK; Limitless Biochem covers US, EU, UK, and AU. ResearchChemHQ, Optimum Formula, BHG Labs and VANDL Labs are US-domestic (RCHQ offers international bulk/wholesale on request). Customs rules vary by compound and destination.
