# How to Reconstitute DSIP

## Standard DSIP Reconstitution Protocol

Add **2 ml** of bacteriostatic water to a **2 mg** vial of DSIP. This gives a concentration of **1.00 mg/ml**. A **100 mcg** amount measures about **10.0 IU** on a U-100 syringe scale. Store refrigerated at 2–8°C and use within **14 days**.

## Step-by-Step: How to Reconstitute DSIP

1.  1 
    
    Gather your supplies
    
    A sealed 2 mg vial of DSIP, a vial of bacteriostatic water, a 1 ml U-100 syringe, and an alcohol swab.

    Add the water
    
    Wipe both vial stoppers with alcohol. Draw 2 ml of BAC water into the syringe and release it slowly down the inside wall of the DSIP vial. Never spray directly onto the powder — the force can damage the peptide.

    Swirl gently
    
    Gently swirl the vial in a circular motion until the DSIP fully dissolves. Do not shake. The solution should become clear.

    Calculate the amount
    
    At a concentration of 1.00 mg/ml, a 100 mcg (0.100 mg) amount equals about 10.0 IU on a U-100 syringe scale.

    Draw and store
    
    Draw the amount you need, then immediately return the vial to the refrigerator at 2–8°C. Use the reconstituted vial within 14 days.
