# SR9011 Side Effects

Complete SR9011 safety profile: reported side effects from published research, contraindications, severity tiers, and how to minimize adverse reactions through proper dosing and vendor selection.

## Reported SR9011 side effects

No human safety data No published trial, case series or pharmacovigilance record describes what SR9011 does in people, and no human study of it is registered (ClinicalTrials.gov, searched 27 October 2026). Anyone taking a product containing SR9011 has no dose, no pharmacokinetic data and no safety record to work from. What the mouse studies recorded The single most striking finding in the founding paper is the complete loss of locomotor activity during the subjective night after one injection of 100 mg/kg in constant darkness. The Scripps authors argued this was clock disruption rather than poisoning, because it did not happen in mice kept on a normal light and dark cycle, grip strength did not fall, the mice still moved in an open field, and complete blood counts showed no overt toxicity (PMID: 22460951). Over 10 days of twice-daily dosing, movement fell about 15 percent (PMID: 22460951). In the sleep study, REM sleep was almost abolished for 3 hours after a single injection, and the mice then slept more after the lights went out (PMID: 25536025). Cell findings that read as warnings In primary rat microglia, SR9011 disturbed the rhythmic expression of clock genes, lowered pro-inflammatory cytokine expression during a challenge with TNF-alpha, and also reduced phagocytic activity, mitochondrial respiration, ATP production and metabolic gene expression (PMID: 33101272). Cancer biology treats the cytotoxicity as the intended effect: SR9009 and SR9011 killed cancer cell lines and oncogene-induced senescent cells by blocking autophagy and fat synthesis, and the same report found no effect on the viability of normal proliferating or quiescent cells or on normal mouse skin and brain tissue (PMID: 29320480). A compound that stops autophagy and de novo lipogenesis in dividing cells has no established margin in healthy people. The off-target question For the sister compound SR9009, effects on cell viability, metabolism and transcription persisted in cells with both REV-ERB proteins deleted, which means at least part of what that compound does has nothing to do with the intended target (PMID: 31127047). No equivalent test of SR9011 was found, so the share of its effects that are REV-ERB-dependent is unmeasured in whole animals. Products and testing In vitro metabolism work on human liver microsomes identified 14 phase I metabolites of SR9011 and 8 of SR9009, and the authors were able to demonstrate SR9009 in a product bought over the internet; a retrospective search of 1,511 doping control samples previously run on a full-scan screening method found neither parent compound nor their metabolites (PMID: 27706103). A 2017 analysis of 44 products sold online as selective androgen receptor modulators found that 17 contained a different unapproved drug, with SR9009 named among them; SR9011 was not among the compounds reported in that analysis (PMID: 29183075). Gaps No human pharmacokinetic, long-term, reproductive or drug interaction data exist for SR9011. No study has established an oral dose in any species in the papers retrieved for this guide, and the mouse results above came from injected doses.

## When to continue, reduce, or stop SR9011

Mild: continue protocol

Transient mild symptoms (slight GI upset, minor injection-site reaction, brief fatigue) typically resolve within 3-7 days as physiology adjusts. Continue at current dose; monitor weekly.

Moderate: reduce dose

Persistent mild symptoms past two weeks, or new symptoms like sustained mood changes, sleep disruption, or appetite shifts. Reduce dose by 25-50% and reassess at the end of the next 2-week window.

Severe: discontinue + seek care

Any signal of allergic response (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty), unexplained chest discomfort, severe injection-site reaction with infection signs, or vision changes. Discontinue immediately and consult a licensed practitioner.

## SR9011 contraindications

Because SR9011 has never been studied in humans, no evidence-based contraindications can be stated (ClinicalTrials.gov, searched 27 October 2026). SR9011 is not an approved medicine: it has no approval in any country, no pharmacopoeial standard and no established human dose. It is prohibited in sport: section S4.4.1 of the World Anti-Doping Agency 2026 Prohibited List prohibits Rev-erb-alpha agonists at all times and names SR9009 and SR9011 as the examples, and substances in S4.4 are non-specified substances (World Anti-Doping Agency, 2026 Prohibited List). Sleep and circadian disorders are a concern because SR9011 is designed to change the timing and amplitude of clock gene expression; it suppressed oscillation in suprachiasmatic nucleus explants and removed a full active period in mice in constant darkness (PMID: 22460951), and it suppressed REM sleep for about 3 hours in mice (PMID: 25536025). SR9009 and SR9011 block autophagy and de novo lipogenesis, which is why they kill cancer cells and senescent cells (PMID: 29320480). Both processes are normal functions in healthy tissue, and no human data describe the consequences of inhibiting them. SR9011 reduced phagocytic activity, mitochondrial respiration and ATP production in primary microglia, which are immune cells (PMID: 33101272). Off-target activity is uncharacterized: the sister compound SR9009 acted on cells lacking both REV-ERB receptors (PMID: 31127047), so part of the pharmacology of this chemical series is unexplained.

## Why vendor quality drives SR9011 side-effect frequency

Research-compound communities consistently report that adverse-event frequency tracks with source quality. Three reasons: (1) impurity profiles vary by lab (residual synthesis byproducts can trigger reactions); (2) mislabeled mass means actual dose can be 50-150% of stated dose; (3) reconstitution-grade water and capping methodology affect long-term storage stability. COA-verified vendors with published HPLC data minimize all three failure modes. Check a vendor's COA record and Trust Score before you buy.

## SR9011 side effects FAQ

### What are the most common SR9011 side effects?

No human safety data No published trial, case series or pharmacovigilance record describes what SR9011 does in people, and no human study of it is registered (ClinicalTrials.gov, searched 27 October 2026). Anyone taking a product containing SR9011 has no dose, no pharmacokinetic data and no safety record to work from. What the mouse studies recorded The single most striking finding in the founding

### Are there severe side effects to watch for with SR9011?

Severe reactions are rare in published research but can occur. Watch for: allergic-type symptoms (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty), unexplained chest discomfort, infection signs at injection sites, vision changes, or severe persistent mood/sleep disruption. Any of these warrants immediate discontinuation and consultation with a licensed practitioner. The Severity Tiers section above triages mild → moderate → severe response patterns.

### Does SR9011 have contraindications?

Because SR9011 has never been studied in humans, no evidence-based contraindications can be stated (ClinicalTrials.gov, searched 27 October 2026). SR9011 is not an approved medicine: it has no approval in any country, no pharmacopoeial standard and no established human dose. It is prohibited in sport: section S4.4.1 of the World Anti-Doping Agency 2026 Prohibited List prohibits Rev-erb-alpha agoni

### How can I minimize SR9011 side effects?

Three biggest levers: (1) Start at the Beginner-tier dose for 2-3 weeks before escalating, which gives time to detect adverse signals at minimum effective dose. (2) Source from COA-verified vendors only: impurity profiles and mislabeled compounds drive a disproportionate share of reported side effects in research-compound communities. (3) Maintain adequate cycle off-time when applicable: receptor-saturating compounds benefit from 4-6 week breaks. The vendor section below lists the cheapest in-stock SR9011 sources we track, each linked to its Trust Score (COA verification is 30% of the score).
